Bankstown Bites
Saturday, 31 July 2010
10:00am to 4:00pm
Bankstown Council’s annual food festival, Bankstown Bites is one of Sydney’s most authentic and diverse food festivals. Through its focus on Asian, European and Middle Eastern cuisine, the festival showcases Bankstown’s great cultural and linguistic diversity, and not to mention the CBD’s 330 food businesses.
The main catch of the day is the ever popular Discovery Food Tours. Each of the seven tours- including Sweet Treats, European Delights, Asian Explorer and Treats from the Middle East- journey through a series of food businesses around Bankstown.
Other festival features included a unique blend of international food stalls, roving entertainment, face painting, live music and dancers, puppet shows, the environmentally
sustainable Backyard Bites stand and much more.
