Local Information

Getting to Bankstown

Bankstown is easy to get to by car, train or bus.

Easily accessible by private or public transport, Bankstown is one of very few metropolitan cities with access by air (Bankstown Airport), river (Georges River) and road (Hume Highway and the M5 Motorway). At peak times, a train leaves Bankstown for the inner city every 15 minutes. The M5 Motorway, M5 East Extension, Hume Highway and other key roads can take you in whatever direction you like.

Just 30 minutes by direct rail link or road from Sydney's Central Business District, Sydney Airport and other key locations, makes Bankstown an idea location for anyone visiting Sydney.

Bankstown Rail Line runs into the centre of Bankstown, and the East Hills Line runs through the south of Bankstown.  Bus networks intersect the City of Bankstown to the north, south east and west -

so there's no reason not to visit!
