View Bankstown Bites Program for 2010

There will be an amazing range of entertainment at this year's Bites Festival. Leading the crowds down from the station to the stage area at 10am will be the Yagoona District Band. During the day there will be vocal performances from Bankstown's own Talent Advancement Program soloists and displays of African, Greek and Arabic dancing performed by local and international groups.

There will be seven cooking demonstrations throughout the day with the first starting at 10.30 am. Join celebrity chef Miguel Maestre at 11.30 am and 1.30 pm as he demonstrates how to make some of his favourite dishes and see local Bankstown Sports' sous chef, Antonios Chayna in action at 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm.

There will be free activities galore for the kids with face painting, airbrush tattoos, a teacup ride and food craft. The Punch and Judy puppet show is always a favourite and the day will feature roaming clowns and magic shows.

There's plenty for mums and dads too with food stalls, cooking demonstrations, Discovery Food Tours and even lessons on how to make the perfect Vietnamese rice paper roll. Join us at the colourful food carving marquee or take a moment out to visit the Georges River Regional Council's tent for a coffee sample.
