It's all about the food - as it should be!

There are eight fantastic food tours at this year's Bankstown Bites, so you are guaranteed to find one to tempt your taste buds. Each tour will run at 10.30am, 12.30pm, and 2.30pm and are FREE.  However, you will need to book and places are limited to 10 people per tour.  Bookings are made at the Bankstown Council Information booth and open 30 minutes before each tour leaves.

The food tour themes are Groceries Galore, European Eats, Boisterous Beverages, Sweet Treats, Little Lebanon, Know your Noodle, Fresh Food Feasts, and Wok it Up.

• Groceries Galore takes you on a tour of an Indian, Filipino, African and Lebanese grocery stores.
• European eats tempts the palate with European wine, beer and nibbles and is a tour for people 18 years and over.
• Boisterous Beverages introduces people to the cleansing teas, colourful soft drinks and juices and great coffee.
• Sweet Treats is the perfect tour for those with a sweet tooth.  Sample continental and Middle Eastern cakes and ice cream.
• Little Lebanon lets you learn the secrets behind hummus, halal and Lebanese pizza - and how to spice up your meals.
• Know Your Noodle walks you through the finer details of ordering Asian food and great places to get it in Bankstown.
• Fresh Food Feast will convince you to only buy 'fresh' in the future.  Discovery great places to buy your meat, fruit and veg, breads and seafood.
• Wok It Up gives you the good oil on essential ingredients at great prices for making authentic Asian dishes.  Be the expert in your own home!

The first 250 people to visit the Bankstown Council Information booth will receive a free Bankstown Bites shopping bag filled with Bankstown Bites goodies - including the new Bankstown Food Lovers' Guide. Bags can also be purchased for $2 from the booth, so you can explore on your own and stock up one new and exciting tastes and treats.
