Chocolate Fudge Bars

Ingredients:

½ cup  plain flour
½ cup SR Flour
¾ cup brown sugar
1 cup coconut
1 T cocoa
185 gms butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 egg

 

Icing

1 cup icing sugar2 T cocoa
30 gms butter
1 ½ T hot water
¼ cup coconut
Extra coconut

Method:

1. Sift flour and cocoa into bowl; add brown sugar and coconut. Mix
2. Add melted butter, vanilla and egg. Mix well
3. Press mixture into 28cm x18cm greased lamington tin
4. Bake at 180C for 20 minutes
5. Cool in tin
6. When cold, ice with icing and sprinkle with coconut.
7. Cut into bars when icing has set

 

Chocolate icing

1. Sift icing sugar and cocoa into small bowl
2. Add melted butter and water, mix until the icing is smooth and glassy
